Comeback Physical Therapy was founded on the principle that PT should look different. For far too long, the industry standard has been the conveyor belt approach to patient care. The name of the game always seemed to be get as many patients through the door as possible, and open as many locations as possible. The problem with that approach is that you require an entire corporate and administrative team to handle marketing, referral networks, credentialing, billing, executive operations, financial operations human resources…etc. Well none of those people are seeing patients, yet they’re all receiving a salary, so where does the money come from? Simple, the physical therapists have quotas in which they’re expected to see several patients per hour. Each therapist has multiple patients in the clinic at any given time, often there is an unlicensed aide or tech cruising around and chatting with patients as they do their exercises, and the physical therapist essentially behaves as a ringmaster for the whole show.

We believe that our patients deserve better than the high-volume, low-quality model that permeates the industry. We believe that our patients deserve our full, undivided attention every time they walk through our doors. We don’t want to see dozens of patients per day and we don’t have visions of rapidly expanding to own multiple locations, because we aren’t interested in being the McDonald’s of physical therapy. Instead we are creating an individualized experience tailored uniquely to each specific patient because we think that’s what our patients deserve.
